Direct Care Worker

About the role:
Uniting AgeWell seeks experienced and motivated Direct Care Workers with Certificate III in Aged Care to join our innovative and expanding community based service, supporting older people living in their own homes.
Reporting into the Client Liaison Officer, you will provide personalised services to clients including domestic assistance, shopping, showering, social activities and transport.

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our clients, to support them to live life to their full potential.
This is the place for you if you have:
- A Certificate III in Aged Care, or equivalent
- Experience in aged care is preferred, and the ability to speak a second language will be highly regarded
- Commitment to the provision of quality care and continuous improvement
- A current driver’s licence and access to own vehicle
- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
- Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
- Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church
You will need:
- A current Working With Children’s Check
- Full Australian working rights
- A current Police Records Check or be willing to undertake this process
- A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
