Position Summary

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Care Manager, Uniting AgeWell is seeking a Registered Nurse to work within a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to, and assist with, the coordination of high quality best practice effective clinical care that supports and enhances residents'/clients' individual needs and wellbeing.

As a Registered Nurse with UA you will have sound knowledge of ACFI documentation and Commonwealth standards. You will provide leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers and nursing staff and promote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care.

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, to support them to live life to their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Div 1
  • Experienced as a Registered Nurse in residential aged care/ home care 
  • Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge and skills in Contemporary Aged Care Services 
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
  • Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church

You will need:

  • A current Working With Children’s Check (VIC)
  • Full Australian working rights 
  • A current Police Records Check or be willing to undertake this process
  • A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
