About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a commitment to the delivery of high quality, evidence based health care to join this innovative Allied Health and Therapy team.
The Occupational Therapist will be working in the community predominantly within the Allied Health Team which aims to reverse and/or slow ‘functional decline’ in older people. This time limited multidisciplinary program provides therapy and services to the client in their home. The Occupational Therapist will conduct assessments, equipment and home modification prescription and therapy. This may include ADL retraining, stress management/relaxation, falls prevention and upper limb therapy with the goal of improving wellbeing and independence.
There is also opportunity to run individual consultations with our CHSP clients who have neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Services can be offered in the home, via social medial or in our Centres

- Recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical theory and practice
- Be prepared to deliver services when and where our clients need them
- Availability to increase your hours – pick up extra shifts when they are available (remove if not relevant)

- Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
- Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church
You will need:
- A current Working With Children’s Check (VIC)/Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (TAS)
- Full Australian working rights
- A current Police Records Check or be willing to undertake this process
- A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
