Position Summary

About the role:

Based at our new facility in Hawthorn, the position of Residential Services Manager (RSM) is an exciting leadership opportunity for a Registered Nurse with experience in aged care or health, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being, independence and choice of people accessing our services.

With a proven record of providing high quality care and services, the RSM will have excellent people and financial management skills, and the capacity to engage effectively with staff, residents, families and the community.

A member of the regional executive team, the RSM will report to the General Manager [insert location]

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, to support them to live life to their full potential.

This is the place for you if you have:

  • Formal qualifications in health, aged care or a management related discipline, or comparable business experience
  • Ability to manage uncertainty effectively and a natural ability to adapt to any situation
  • Adept at applying the requirements of the aged care act to any medical/care scenario
  • Ability to put the care of residents at the core of all actions
  • Demonstrated experience with financial, quality, risk and compliance within Aged or Health care services
  • Leadership and management experience in a complex environment including evidence of ability to build and develop cohesive operational service teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to relate with all levels of staff, client and internal and external stakeholders
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
  • Are willing to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church

You will need:

  • A current Working With Children’s Check (VIC)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • A current Police Records Check or be willing to undertake this process
  • A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
