About the role:

At Uniting AgeWell Andrew Kerr Care, Personal Care Workers co-ordinate personal care for residents in accordance with care plans which meet their individual needs and preferences. 

In this role, you will:

• Deliver high quality, person centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
• Provide personal care to residents with complex needs such palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
• To support nursing staff regarding assessment, care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes

We are looking to add dedicated and passionate Care Workers to our growing Andrew Kerr Care team. 

We currently have vacancies in the following shift patterns:

• 07:00am to 15:00pm: Thursday, Friday (Week 1) and Thursday, Friday, Saturday (Week 2)
• 07:00am to 15:00pm: Thursday, Friday & Saturday  and Thursday, Friday & Saturday (Week 1 and Week 2)
• 14:45pm to 22:00pm: Thursday, Friday (Week 1) and Thursday, Friday, Saturday (Week 2)

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.

This is the place for you if you:

• Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent (Aged Care)
• Experience in residential aged care/ home care (desired)
• Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
• Demonstrated abilities to support residents in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one on one interactions with all levels of care partners 
• Demonstrate respect, kindness and integrity when providing care to residents' families and team members
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
• Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

• A current Working With Children Check
• Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
• Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a national police clearance
