About the role:

Provide leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers and support Registered Nurses in their role to promote a harmonious team approach to the delivery of resident care at Uniting AgeWell – Kingsville

• Deliver high quality, person centered care to residents and families, including consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
• Provide nursing care to residents with complex needs such palliative care, dementia support, restorative care and pain management to enhance their wellbeing
• To support nursing staff regarding assessment and care planning processes, documentation and evaluation of care outcomes
• Analyse risk, implement strategies and participate in clinical handover with Registered Nurses
• Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management in consultation with the Registered Nurses

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential!

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2)
• Minimum 3 years experience as an EEN in residential aged care/ home care (required)
• Ability to demonstrate experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
• Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
• Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills in a team and one on one interactions with all levels of care partners
• Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

• A current Working With Children Check
• Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
• Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a national police clearance, NDIS clearance
