About the role:

A rewarding Part Time opportunity exists for an experienced Administration Officer to provide high quality and professional administration support at our Andrew Kerr Care residential faculity in Mornington. As the first point of contact, you will play an active role with the Uniting AgeWell team, participating in building a community based culture that fosters a spirit of the BEST way of life.

 This role involves a number of administrative and clerical services including account processing, reception and switchboard management, maintaining accurate databases and other ad hoc duties as required.

In this role, you will:

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding customer service to our residents and vistors
  • To collect document and process resident/client information as required
  •  Provide friendly and professional reception and switchboard support t our team at Andrew Kerr Care
  • Actively seek to understand residents’ and their family's expectations and issues, using multiple strategies
  • Respond quickly and proactively escalate concerns when necessary

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents., enhancing their self-esteem and empowering them to make choices.

This is the place for you if you:

  • Experience and expertise in managing a busy switchboard and reception
  • Experience in communicating effectively with a diverse range of people, including older people or those who have disabilities
  • Experience in residential aged care or community is strongly preferred
  • Experience in database and finance systems
  • Excellent proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook with keyboard skills of typing of 50 wpm
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Children & Vulnerable People card
  • Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance
